Biomedical Engineering
In biomedical engineering research, we focus on bioengineering techniques for disease detection and treatment. This involves research in biosensing, biophotonics and bioimaging, biomechnics, and bioinformatics. Research in bioprocess engineering emphasizes bioresource utilization. Areas of research include biological material-based products, food engineering, and food safety. In the bioenvironmental area, our emphasis is on water quality issues, including wastewater treatment, bioremediation, precision agriculture, and non-point source pollution. http://www.fse.missouri.edu/BE/mission.htm
